The Original Maltese Pastizzi Company is a proud family-owned business.

Oscar & Melissa were captivated by the small factory manufacturing handmade Pastizzi back in 2014. However, the story of “The Original Maltese Pastizzi Company” began when the business was founded by the Portelli family in 2005. Charlie & Jane Portelli began something wonderful that Melissa & Oscar have built into the famous ORIGINAL PASTIZZI brand of gourmet excellence.

Oscar & Melissa, together with the team @The Original Maltese Pastizzi Company are passionate about all Maltese Cuisine, keeping traditional but also creating some new and exciting variations. Over the last 8 years the company has grown from manufacturing pastizzi, to now including a wide range of Maltese foods and Imported specialty groceries.

They continue to work on growing their reputation for quality gourmet food. The retail outlet is a Maltese haven well known to many, promoting the Maltese culture here in Melbourne.

With a daily production of pastizzi, Oscar & Melissa have grown the stockist locations to ensure customers can enjoy their products and find them close to home, at many locations all over Melbourne Metro & Rural areas.

The Original Maltese Pastizzi Company has a retail outlet open to the public 6 days a week (Sunday closed). Serving Hot pastizzi, Coffees and sweets and offering outdoor seating to start your shopping experience with tradition.
